Mumbai City Tour

tour/img_750x275/T1_city_tour.jpg

Often surprised European tourists exclaim, "If all the Indian people are taken out of South Mumbai, you could be in Europe". This is because the Fort area has many buildings built in magnificent European architecture - in Gothic, Renaissance, Neo-Classical standing along with Indo-Saracenic structures - a combo of Hindu and Muslim architecture.

If you wish to see the Big Ben Clock Tower or the Notre dame Church in India, you should definitely look at the library and the convocation hall of the Mumbai University.

On top of your must-see list should be the breathtakingly beautiful and majestic Victoria Terminus (Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus) railway station which is a WORLD HERITAGE SITE on the UNESCO list.

You can walk down in history at the Gateway of India and walk with Mahatma Gandhi at the Mani Bhavan.

The beautiful promenade, the Marine Drive - the Queen's Necklace - is dotted with Art Deco styled buildings.

You can pray for world peace at an Indian Shrine and take a leisurely walk at the Hanging Gardens..... sorry, no one was hung here and nothing to do with Babylon.....find out what it is, on your visit to our beautiful city.

Watch the washer men at work at the biggest manual laundry in the world - the Dhobi Ghat
