Banganga Tour

tour/img_750x275/T8_banganga1.jpg

Banganga is a pre-historic magical reservoir steeped in legend nestled amongst the tall, mammoth, modern skyscrapers of Malabar Hill.

Legend says that during his exile, Lord Ram stopped at this place and made a Walkeshwar Shiva Linga  - God made in sand - and pierced his arrow into the ground and sweet waters sprang out - Banganga  - despite the Arabian Sea being a few feet away.

The Banganga has several ancient temples built around its divine periphery.

Once a year, a Classical Indian Music Festival is held at Banganga....a much awaited event!

Duration: This is a walking tour around the reservoir. You could do it on its own or clubbed with another tour. On its own it would take 2 hours or more.
