Dharavi Slum Tour
Dharavi is a slum in Mumbai spread over approximately 535 acres of land and houses over a million people- one of the largest slum in the world. However today it is the heart of a small scale industry with a wide range of activities like baking, soap making, pottery, leather tanning, embroidery, recycling, poppadom making and so much more with an annual turnover of approximately US$ 665 million.
Different communities live in Dharavi and passing through their residential areas will give you a glimpse into their world. Most houses have a cooking gas stove, a refrigerator, TV and even satellite connections to view their favorite sport – Cricket or to catch up on their favorite soaps.

Duration: Since Dharavi is situated in the suburbs of Mumbai the time taken for the entire tour depends on where your hotel is situated. Talk to your Guide who will advise you but keep at least half the day free for this tour.
